We had the pleasure of building a Custom Built PC for a client that wanted a brand new Gaming PC on a budget, that was quiet, compact and stealth without RGB lighting, but in a stylish, modern chassis. Built around our PIXEL Gaming PC configuration with a few customizations, we were able to supply them a fantastic rig for all their favourite games that fits in a tiny 370mm x 186mm x 295mm case, without sacrificing performance.
The internals consisted of an Intel Core i5 12400F 12th Gen processor with 6 Cores and 12 Threads up to 4.40GHz Turbo, a popular mainstream desktop processor, highly regarded for offering excellent price-to-performance, especially for gaming and general use. Its strong single-core performance is a major benefit for most current games.
Paired with 32GB DDR4 RAM giving plenty of headroom, perfect for running multiple demanding applications, a whole bunch of browser tabs, and ensuring future-proofing for next generation games that require more and more resources.
To balance performance and cost, our customer opted for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB, a great value entry-level desktop graphics card suitable for budget gaming builds where low power consumption is a priority, therefore also lowering heat and ensuring stability in such a small chassis. For the titles they want to play, this card offers fantastic framerates at 1080p and keeps the system cool and quiet.
Combined with a high quality ASUS Prime B660M Motherboard and 750W 80+ GOLD Rated Power Supply, the system also has room for expandability making it easy to upgrade to a more powerful graphics card in the future if it’s ever required. The Power Supply also has plenty of wiggle-room so it’s not being stressed out, even when the system is loaded up to full capacity, thereby increasing longevity.
