I stuffed it up when placing my initial order for this and ended up with a smaller SSD than I intended. I discussed this problem with Mike from Hungry PC who agreed for me to return the machine for an upgrade. He was a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. The swap took a matter of days (mainly allowing for transport back and forth and a weekend) and here I am with my perfect replacement.

The story behind discovering this site and the journey to get this laptop was quite incredible, going through some very clumsy and uptight loan groups.

As for the laptop itself its actually far better than I expected. The audio and microphone work great that I now record my podcasts from the laptop’s microphone. For 850 dollars you get high specs that can easily be upgraded further should you desire to do so. In retail this will cost double the price or even more. The USB ports are all 3.0 which is nice. The screen size is surprisingly better than i had thought too. The only downside I can think of is battery life but this seems to be a problem with all Dell laptops and the small size of this one kinda makes up for that.

Overall I was really pleased with this purchase and any future purchase will be through this website and just an extended version of the current laptop (more RAM, power processor, SSD etc…)

I could not be happier with my HP EliteDesk Core i7 500GB SSD/500GB HD 16GB RAM! Arrived quickly, and more than lived up to expectations. A very low price for an extremely good computer. Came with Win 11 Pro as advertised, and the preloading of other much used software was an added bonus. It’s also in extremely good condition and looks brand new. I have already recommended Hungry PC to a couple of my geek friends and will continue to do so with others. Great price, great quality!

I ordered one of these to replace my 10 year old faltering desktop. I had hungryPC upgrade the drive to a 120 GB SSD and put in a good graphics card. The machine arrived in good time and I spent a very agreeable few hours getting all my software onto it and setting it up. I have bought second hand machines once or twice in the past but this one is a revelation. It arrived in immaculate condition, and except for a couple of very minor marks on the case looks brand new. In short, it is quiet, smooth, and very quick and to say I am thrilled with it is a massive understatement. The idea of a refurbished business class machine instead of a new consumer class machine is a brilliant concept, and I have no hesitation in recommending hungryPC for their product, their prices, and their service. In short, I have had many computers since my first Sinclair ZX81 many years ago, but this really is one of the best deals I have ever had. And if you can remember the ZX81 then you’re older than you look! Many thanks hungryPC. I am sure I will be looking to you again when I need hardware in the future.

I am writing this review as a very very happy hungrypc customer! Was looking to replace the Hungrypc computer bought about 6 years ago which is still working fine but felt it was time for an update. The particular Hungry pc item listed on their web site notes “more coming soon” so I rang to see when they were arriving. Mike answered the phone and straight away liked his manner and cheerfullness. I was advised a week or two for the new stock but he said it was a shame to wait and within a few minutes he had offered me the next valued up item with a discounted price which I happily accepted.
The package arrived in Dunedin within three working days from the North Island and trust me when I say it was “well packaged! Prior to arrival Mike sent me an email setting out details of the sale and upon payment received an official receipt. Although I didnt buy the most expensive item, i was absolutely treated as if I had! Well done Mike for going the extra mile, I definitely appreciated it and highly recommend this company to all.

I ordered the system on 6th May, and to my delight it arrived at my door today the 9th May

The unit was taken out of the box (Very well packed) and I plugged in a monitor, and wireless Mouse and Keyboard. Also plugged in 3 x external drives and a printer (HP6960)

The only adjustment I had to make was to the control of the monitor size/dimension, and the whole installation took less than 10 minutes.

I am absolutely delighted with my purchase and the service I have received from hungryPC, and will have no hesitancy in recommending them in the future.

Just want to say thank you for the PC I purchased recently. Extremely happy with the prompt, friendly and helpful service. PC arrived very quickly after ordering to my address at the bottom of the South Island and in perfect condition. It was exactly want I wanted. The little 11.6″ HP Pavilion Quad Core, 500GB HDD with Touch Screen + Tablet Mode is the latest of several machines I have purchased from hungryPC over the past few years. Yet again they have demonstrated why I keep going back to them. This little unit is in immaculate condition, beautifully set up and ready for use. Shortly after I received it a Microsoft update caused problems with the touch screen driver, and my email enquiry to Mike was answered within a couple of hours and the remedy described. Within five minutes the problem was solved. Now that just has to be the fastest warranty repair I have ever experienced in my life, and it says a lot for their responsiveness and technical expertise. Over several purchases they have repeatedly proved that they not only know their business well, but they are also completely worth trusting to do what they say they will do. Once again, my grateful thanks to hungryPC and Mike for a simply brilliant deal.

Just bought a refurbished laptop and couldn’t be happier with it. Its in mint condition, exactly as described and actually seems very close to new condition.A slightly different operating system was installed, free of charge and is functioning well. Just a quick note to thank you for the fantastic service I received recently when purchasing a computer for my photography work.
